Affordable,
reliable power and water are necessities, not luxuries. I’m Suzzann Nordwick
running to be your District 3 Public Service Commissioner. As an engineer, I spent years analyzing and determining
feasibilities. As a Montanan like you, I’m concerned about heating our homes
and keeping local businesses running. As a conservative, I’ll insist your costs
are kept low and that you always have power, while I promote a transparent and
accountable government.
My platform at
the Public Service Commission (PSC) will be to implement Montana First
policies, to ensure there are good-paying jobs in a strong economy, with
constant, reliable, affordable utilities, as well as a safe and healthy
environment in which to live. I believe ample, low-cost, available electricity
directly correlates into growth and good-paying jobs for Montana.
Professionally,
I am an engineer with over 30 years of experience in technology applications
research and development, including serving as principal investigator on
projects funded by the Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection
Agency. I was internationally recognized with an Extraction and Processing
Development Technology Award from The Metallurgical Society, and I was
officially acknowledged as a Young Leader by the Society for Mining, Metallurgy
& Exploration. Much of the work done
over my career is directly relevant to the PSC’s strategic scope areas,
including my specialized training and expertise in materials science, natural
resources, environmental impact studies, and regulatory compliance.
This diverse
real-world experience makes me a great fit for the PSC and is why I’ve been
endorsed by two of the sitting Commissioners and by Montanans for Limited
Government. I have the skills to hit the ground running, to make objective
decisions and the knowledge to keep our trains on the tracks, our lights on,
and our Montana homes heated throughout the winter.
I stand
strongly with President Donald J Trump and will have the honor of helping represent
Montana as a Trump endorsed delegate at the 2024 Republican National
Convention. I had a similar honor in 2016. Now more than ever, we must Make
America Great Again.
A long-time
dedicated Montana Republican, I currently serve as President of the Montana
Federation of Republican Women, the state’s largest organization of
conservative women. I am committed to the principles in the Constitution and
those expressed in the Declaration of Independence. I value the freedoms
granted by the Bill of Rights.
The PSC’s
purpose is to protect the rate payers and it is more technical than other
elected offices so expertise matters. Career politicians, like my opponent,
specialize in making deals and using politics to negotiate “solutions”.
Montanans would be much better served by electing critical thinkers trained to
use logic to solve problems, like me – Suzzann Nordwick.
I’m committed to
keeping rates as low as possible. I’ll work for my fellow citizens, not for
special interest.
